Strawberry and Banana Fields

Alright so as my first official post I have made MUFFINS! If you know me, you know I love baking. Anything other kitchen activity and I might burst into flames. Also I love finding recipes that I can actually work with. You know not all of us have all those eccentric ingredients.
Anyway lets get started with this.

Strawberry Banana Muffins
• 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for pan
• ⅔ cup sugar
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 ripe bananas, mashed
• ¾ cup chopped strawberries

You preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Remember to butter or spray pam on either your muffin cup/pan. If you forget to do that you'll muffins will stick and it'll make it hard to cleanly remove.
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set these aside.
In a large bowl cream you butter using a hand mixer ( I usually tend to do this by hand using a fork  since I don't own a hand mixer). Gradually add your sugar until light and fluffy then lastly add your eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Now in a small bowl get your strawberries and mash them with a fork, you do this to remove as much juice as you can. If you don't do this your muffins wont bake well. While you're draining the juice from the strawberries you can now get your bananas and mash those as well.
Finally you add you dry mixture as well as the strawberry bananas into you wet mixture. do this little by little alternating between dry and fruit mixes. Mix after each addition until smooth. Don't mix more than you have to!
Fill each cup about 2/3 full. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. You can check if they're done by inserting a toothpick. If it come out clean THEY'RE DONE! Take then out of your pan, without burning yourself. Allow them to cool on a cooling rack.
