Brick-o-la la la

Last week I welcomed to my collection of lipsticks my third MAC lipstick. After watching a marathon of Estée , Essiebutton on YouTube, I came across her Winterlicious Tag video (a while back). She showed this lipstick and swatched it and I instantly knew I needed it in my life! Sadly it took me a while to actually get to a MAC counter and even remember to buy it. It was in the back of mind though!

There are many ways to describe this lipstick.I've heard it being called a Terracotta/Burnt/Muted red, which I agree with, but on the MAC website it's said to be a "Mid-tone berry".... eh I don't see it. I believe this particular lip color is a very wearable red. If you're a little intimidated on try anything too bold or you're just starting to wear lipsticks this is definitely a color to pick up. From seeing different color skin tones wearing this lipstick I can honestly say that anyone can pull it off! It can be a night or day color, heck I rock this lipstick all the time!

If you exfoliate don't forget to completely clean your lips. Whoops!

This particular shade is an amplified creme finish. Meaning that it has intense pigmentation. It comes out as a very nice opaque color and stains the lip. Unlike the matte finish, which is also know to stain the lip and last longer, this isn't as drying. It goes on nice and smooth so you don't need to prep your lips with chapstick and such. Brick-o-la will last on you lips for about 4+ hours.

I am a medium olive skin tone.

The MAC lipsticks run at $15 but are very worth the money. And the best news is that it's part of their permanent collection. The thing I love most about this lipstick is that when ever I wear it I feel beautiful, confident, and just over all great! To me this color perks up any dull day with out going too bold. Most people might want to wear this more toward autumn/winter, but I break rules sometimes and I will be wearing this all year round.

What are some of your favorite MAC lipsticks? Do you go for a subtle lip or bold and "wild"? Any other brand you prefer? Let me know, I'm always on the look out for an amazing product that will make me sparkle (lol).
